MOTIVATION

My motivation for wanting to be a member of the Buena Park City Council is based upon a number of factors.

The current Buena Park City Council has not-as a body-addressed the following issues:

The decisions regarding how and when "Eminent Domain" either has been or in the future would be instituted.

The Buena Park business community's ability to either expand existing locations or bring in new business ventures is severely curtailed by outdated and convoluted ordinances. 

        
Street closures and other traffic decisions were made without fully considering how the I-5 widening (Gateway Project) would mandate changes in the driving patterns of Buena Park residents.

The current Buena Park City Council has not held a full hearing on issues pertaining to the actions Buena Park needs to promote over the next ten to twenty years in order to foster economic growth while reinforcing our existing business foundation, maintain our high quality lifestyle and, retain our hometown atmosphere.

The current Buena Park City Council-as a body-has not considered all of the beneficial aspects of the "Redevelopment Agency." 

The Buena Park City Council has not made a concerted effort to institute policies which would assist our residents (many of whom have been residents of Buena Park for years) on their "Road to Assimilation." 

Personal Philosophy :

I am motivated by what is in the best interest of the residents of Buena Park.  Solving the everyday problems as they arise prevents little problems from becoming big ones.

I am interested in "Doing What Works."  It does not matter whether the correct solution is to either "Maintain the Status Quo" or "Institute a New Method."  The main concern should be to solve the problem within the confines of the philosophy that "The Means Justify the End."
